Mueller Farmer's Market - Austin, Texas 09.15.19
One of our favorite things to do on Sundays is strolling the Mueller Farmer’s Market in east Austin. Enjoying the sunshine and fresh air is what its all about! The market is nestled in a gorgeous green space with a duck pond, water features and a playscape for kiddos. While we meandered through the market, soft music from a local band played in the background and we had a listen while sipping on a fresh cold brew iced coffee.
The sense of community here is strong and I think it’s so important to stay connected and help support local business whatever area or town you live in!
Our favorite things this week were trying out some fresh peaches, snagging some locally grown produce from Johnson’s backyard, and nibbling on fresh #vegan Brazilian bread (had to take some of this home too). Knoxie enjoyed a 100% fresh watermelon popsicle. I love that he thinks its basically ice cream and we’re happy that its only fresh frozen fruit! hehe
Pro tip: If you haven’t visited yet, arrive about 30 mins early to beat the crowds and score some good parking. It’s still hot AF in Austin, so by arriving early, you’re also beating the heat right now;)
ALSO, Mueller has a new splash pad for kids equipped with an outdoor restroom area (might sound weird, but its a cool set-up). I highly recommend bringing the swimsuits with you and heading over to the splash pad, post market, to cool off!
